This article is intended for conducting a research on the actual condition. In this article, I analyze the contents of survey which has been conducted on the 33 target Korean Russians who reside in Irkutsk and discover the actual condition and identity of Korean Russians. I also identify: life environment of Korean Russians who reside in Irkutsk; their awareness of the organizations of Korean Russians; their awareness of identity and traditional culture of Korean Russians; and type of relations with Korea and level of their expectation on Korea. Most of Koryosaram in Irkutsk consist of those from Sakhalin and Central Asia and are divided into two groups based on the their hometown of them. They show signs of regionalism and broke their coalition. Besides, second and third-generation Korean Russians move gradually farther away from the identity of Korean race. Notwithstanding, a number of Koryosaram in that area have positive thoughts on Korea (government). Koryosaram in Irkutsk show how much they adopt Korean language and culture and hope that Korean government and companies enter into that area. Also, they give their message about the policy on overseas Koreans of Korean government. They are requesting Korean government to carry out its policy on overseas Koreans in the direction that it continues to maintain its taking care of them. They also ask Korean government to develop and promote various support projects from the viewpoint of consumers.

본 글의 목적은 이르쿠츠크 거주 고려인에 대한 설문조사를 통해 한민족 정체성과 한국에 대한 인식의 문제를 밝히는 것으로 한다. 이르쿠츠크에 거주하고 있는 고려인 33인을 대상으로 실시된 설문조사와 현지 방문조사 를 통해 고려인의 생활환경과 고려인 조직체에 대한 현지 고려인들의 한민 족사회에 대한 인식, 고려인들의 한민족 정체성과 전통문화에 대한 인식, 그리고 한국과의 관계 유형과 한국에 대한 기대 수준 등을 밝힌다. 이르쿠츠크 고려인들이 출신 지역에 따라 양분되고 있다. 이르쿠츠크 고려인 사회는 다수가 사할린과 중앙아시아 출신 고려인들로 구성되어 있고, 고려인 사회 내에서 중앙아시아 출신과 사할린 출신으로 분열되는 지역주의 양상을 보이고 있다. 그리고 이르쿠츠크 고려인 2-3세대가 한민 족 정체성에서 멀어져 가고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 현지 고려인들의 다수가 한국(정부)에 대해 긍정적인 생각을 갖고 있다. 이르쿠츠크 고려인들이 한국 언어 및 문화를 수용하고 있는 정도와 한국 정부 및 기업체의 현지 진출을 희망하는 정도를 밝힌다. 이와 함께, 한국정 부의 재외동포정책에 메시지를 전달하고 있다. 한국 정부가 지속성을 유 지하는 방향으로 재외동포 정책을 추진할 것을 주문하고 있으며, 한국의 재외동포재단이 실시하고 있는 각종 지원사업 등을 수요자 관점에서 개발 및 홍보해 줄 것을 당부하고 있다.
