The purpose of this study is to examine the reading certification system based on Web, then to propose the improvement of it.
For the sake of achieving the purpose, to begin win, the reading certification system must help students to be used to the reading habit. Second, it must be able to accept various response of reading students. Third, it must be able to play role of the reading assistant for self-leading reading. Lastly it must consider not only recognitive reading ability but also emotional reading ability and meta-recognitive reading ability.
Up to now, the reading certification system based on Web has been carried out by one way. So it is being not able to accept various response of reading students. It wants improving emotional or meta-recognitive reading ability. It can't play role of the reading assistant, because it focuses on the results of reading. Consequently, it can't achieve the original purpose which it intents.
This study suggests the reading certification system considered reading process. It can play role to lead students' reading. It can accept various response of reading students, by writing impression with various guidance, reading discussion, unified reading. This study searches for the method to improve meta-recognitive reading ability by examining reading records.
In the future, for the reading certification system to be beneficial to students's reading life, the method, which can internalize the meaning of reading through various reading activities, must be searched continually.
The reading certification system is one of ways for reading education. Only one way can't easily make reading education effective. In the society, at home, in the school, until ways and efforts for reading are carried out harmoniously, reading will be established as culture in the society.

이 논문의 목적은 독서 교육의 한 방안으로 실시되고 있는 웹 기반 독서 인증 시스템에 대해서 검토하고， 그 결과를 바탕으로 보완 방안을 제안하는데 있다．
독서 인증제의 목적은 독서를 생활화와 독서 능력 향상에 있다． 이 목적을 달성하기 위해서 독서 인증 과정은， 학생들이 지속적으로 독서하는 습관을 기를 수 있어야 하고， 학생들의 다양한 독서 반응을 수용할 수 있어 야 한다． 또 자기 주도적인 독서가 가능하도록 독서의 보조자 역할을 할 수 있어야 하며， 인지적 독서 능력 외 정의적 독서 능력이나 상위 인지 독서 능력의 향상도 고려해야 한다．
현재 실시되고 있는 웹 기반 독서 인증 시스템은 문제 풀기라는 한 가지 방식이 중심이 되어， 학생들의 다양한 독서 반응을 수용하지 못하고 있으며， 인지적 독서 능력 외 정의적 독서 능력이나 상위 인지 독서 능력을 향상시키기에 부족하다． 그리고 독서 인증이 결과 중심으로만 이루어져 학생들의 독서 보조자의 역할을 하지 못하여， 원래 독서 인증제가 의도하고 있는 목적을 제대로 달성하지 못하고 있다．
이 논문에서는 독서 과정을 고려한 독서 인증 방안을 제안하였다． 이러 한 독서 인증 과정은 학생들의 독서를 이끌어 줄 수 있는 역할을 하고， 여러 가지 안내가 제시된 독후감 쓰기， 독서 토의， 통합 읽기 과정을 통해 학생들은 다양한 독서 반응을 표현할 수 있다． 독서 이력 점검 과정은 그동안 소홀히 다루어 왔던 학생들의 상위 인지 독서 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안으로 제안하였다．
앞으로 독서 인증제가 학생들의 독서 생활에 더 유의미한 역할을 하기 위해서는， 책의 의미를 내면화할 수 있는 독서 활동 방안이 다양하게 연구 되어야 한다． 독서 인증은 독서 교육을 위한 여러 방안 중의 하나의 방안 이다． 하나의 방안만이 중심이 되어서는 독서교육의 효과를 보기 어렵다． 사회에서 가정에서 학교에서 독서를 위한 여러 가지 방안과 노력들이 꾸준히 함께 어울려 진행될 때 비로소 독서는 하나의 문화로그 사회에 정착 할 수 있다.
