The night tourism with local cultural identity and sincerity of the destination in the 24hr live modern society has been recognized as one of the core elements, vitalizing the local economy while satisfy tourists on the other hand. Despite the full scale efforts of Jeju-the most favored tourist destination in Korea with the continuing fastest growth in the tourist volume, to vitalize night tourism, the night tourism has not been successfully settled yet. The study objects to propose the policy implication to dynamize the night tourism thru a comparison analysis on the awareness of night tourism among inbound tourists of those domestic and international in Jeju. A survey was done for the major tourism market of Jeju, including the domestic inbound tourists and Chinese tourists, and the total of 400 samples were analysed. The result shows differences of preference and awareness of night tourism between two groups. The suggestion has been proposed based on the analysis of the implication of Jeju night tourism development.

24시간 사회로 불리는 현대사회에서 방문지의 문화적 정체성이나 진정성을 체험할 수 있는 야간관광은 관광객 만족뿐만 아니라 지역경제 활성화 차원에서도 중요한 요 소로 인식되고 있다. 한국의 대표적인 관광지이자 최근 급속한 관광객 증가세를 보이 고 있는 제주지역 또한 야간관광을 활성화를 위한 다양한 노력에도 불구하고, 야간관 광이 정착하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 제주지역을 방문하는 내외국인 관광 객을 대상으로 야간관광에 대한 인식을 비교 분석함으로써, 야간관광 활성화를 위한 정책적인 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 제주의 주 요 관광 시장인 내국인 관광객과 중국인 관광객을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 400부의 표본을 분석하였다. 분석결과 두 집단간에는 야간관광에 대한 선호도 및 인식에 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 결론에서 제주지역 야간 관광 활성화를 위한 시사점을 제언했다.
