Journal of the International Network for Korean Language and Culture 12-1, 167-189. This research examines the Korean language curricula and the actual conditions of multicultural family assistance centers with the intention of developing a Korean language curriculum for female immigrants of multicultural marriage. The curriculum for them must contain the basic contents of teaching Korean for general purposes and contents on the regional dialects and culture. It was effective for government institutions to develop a curriculum for general purposes which are to be focused on increasing basic general Korean language competence. It was, however, effective for regional Korean language teaching experts to develop regional Korean language teaching programs suitable for the features of the regions. So the Korean language teaching programs for general purposes and the special regional programs must be mutually linked but must be developed and managed separately. (Sunmoon University)

이 연구에서는 다문화 여성결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교육과정 개발 을 위해 다문화가족지원센터의 한국어 교육과정 및 운영 실태를 조사 해 보았다. 다문화 여성결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교육과정은 기본적 으로 갖추어야 할 일반 한국어 내용과 여성결혼이민자의 특성을 고려 한 지역어 및 지역 문화에 대한 내용을 다룰 필요성이 있었다. 일반 기 초 한국어 능력을 갖추기 위한 통용 한국어 교육과정 개발은 정부 부 처에서 공통 교재를 중심한 교육과정을 개발 하는 것이 효과적이며 지 역별 특성을 고려한 지역별 특별 프로그램 교육과정 개발은 지역출신 한국어 교육 전문가가 지역별 특성에 맞게 개발하여 운영하는 것이 효 과적이었다. 따라서 통용 한국어 교육과정 개발과 지역별 특별 프로그 램 교육과정 개발은 상호연계 하되 별도로 분리하여 개발하고 운영할 필요가 있었다.
