This study examined the factors affecting the duration of the female economic activity around the OECD countries. For this study, Institutional variables, socioeconomic variables, and then selected the social capital variables analyzed the influence factors. Institutional variables, socioeconomic variables was found not to affect the continuity of the female economic activity. However, social capital variables showed that affect duration of the female economic activity. This study has a limitation in that the number of variables had less. In addition, the analysis has limitations in that year was a single year. However, despite this limitation, previous studies have considered only the more important institutional factors. On the other hand, this study is significant that the social capital factors stated that the important factor for maintaining the employment rate of women.

본 연구는 OECD 국가를 중심으로 여성경제활동의 지속에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보 았다. 기존 연구를 통해 제도적 요인과 사회경제적 요인을 중요변수로 선정하였고, 그 외에 사회자본 변수를 선정하여 영향요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과 제도적 요인과 사회경제적 요 인이 영향을 미친다는 가설은 수용되지 않았고 사회자본 변수가 영향을 미친다는 결과가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과는 여성의 경제활동 지속성은 사회적 관계와 같은 자본변수가 중요 하다는 것을 의미하여, 정책 결정에 중요한 시사점을 줄 수 있다. 그러나 결과의 적용과 확 장을 위해서는 변수가 한정적이었다는 점과 단일연도에 한정되었다는 점에서 한계를 갖는 다. 다만 이러한 한계에도 불구하고 기존의 연구가 제시한 제도적 요인 외에 사회자본 요인 이 여성의 고용율 유지를 위해 중요한 변수임을 밝힌 것에 의의가 있다.
