This study intended to verify the validation of the ‘dancesport Partnership Scale’ by Eun-sook Kim et al (2011) developed to measure the dancesport partnership. To achieve the intent of the study, 314 people who participated in the dancesport for all were surveyed questionnaires and the validity of partnership scale model was verified based on survey results. First, Questions 5 (1.54, 2.31), 10 (1.67, 2.35), and 15 (1.42, 1.86) that constitute the financial conditions in relation to internal and external goodness-of-fit index exceeded the goodness-of-fit index, 1.5, according to the validation verification result based on the contents of validation and were regarded inappropriate. Also, Questions 5 (“Our couple are financially free”) and 10 (“Our couple have no financial problems”) appeared to be inappropriate for the construct according to the validation verification result based on actual circumstances. Second, the result of validation verification based on internal structure deviated from the standard for unidimensional assumption required by Rasch model. Third, while the validation verification result based on generalization indicates partiality, Questions 8 (“Our couple is invigorated when dancing before audiences.”) and 13 (“Our couple gives impression to audiences.”) appeared to have partiality for male group and Question 15 (“Our couple is financially stable.”), for the group with at least 5 years of experience and Questions 16 (“Our couple receive good marks from judges.”) and 17 (“Our couple is well-received by audiences.”), for the group with less than 5 years of experience. In summary, there are limitations in applying the dancesport Partner Measuring Tool by Eun-sook Kim et al. (2011) to all those who practice dancesport and the validity of only few components is reliable, and therefore it is necessary to develop separate measuring tools for different targets and purposes of the dancesport.
