The purpose of this study was to analyze the execution deduction and performance completion of eight gymnasts who participated in the men’s vault final of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. Researcher collected data through both making a video recording of the men’s vault final and gathering finalists’ score cards which were distributed by the gymnastic operating center. Data was analyzed by four judges of Korea Gymnastic Association who hold international judge certificate, based on 2013 code of points of Men’s artistic gymnastics. There are two main results from data analysis. First, in the starting point, 6.00(43.75) was performed seven times followed by, 5.60(31.25%) was five times, 6.40(12.50) was two times and 5.20(6.25%) and 3.60(6.25%) was each one of the distributions of a total of 16 skills. In the frequencies of element group type, group Ⅰ(43.75%) and group Ⅱ(43.75%) were performed seven times respectively while group Ⅲ was two times(12.5%). In the frequencies of the skill distribution which were the most frequently performed by element group type, Yeo2(6.00) was performed two times out of 6skills in the group I, Lopez (6.00) was conducted three times out of 4 skills in the group Ⅱ, and Shirai/kim Hee Hoon was performed each one in the group Ⅲ. Second, in the individual performance completion, there were 10 different types of deduction; three in the first phase, five in the second phase and two in the landing phase. In the performance completion, SHEK Wai Hung received 0.80 which was the highest points, followed by YANG Hak Seon got 1.00 in the first round. In the second round, RI Se Gwang made 0.537 and YANG received 0.60. In the average deduction of performance completion, the first round was 1.354 while the second round was 1.278. This result showed that the performance completion of the second round was better than the first round’s.
