As a call for the internationalization in higher education, this study investigated perceptions of university students about internationalization education in general English classes mediated by a team teaching. Also, this study tried to find ways to increase effectiveness of second language acquisition by examining language learning skills and teaching methods preferred by second language(L2) learners. Results from surveys showed that native professor's class contributed to strengthen their internationalization capabilities and competences. Interaction with native professors gave students a stimulus to a language learning. This recognition led a positive learning and an open attitude about other cultures. Regarding language skills and teaching methods, students wanted to learn speaking, pronunciation, and listening. On the other hand, they less preferred learning grammar and reading skills from a native professor in a team teaching class. In regard with teaching methods, L2 learners expected native professors to teach them through a role play and a group presentation. That is, L2 learners wanted to expand the direct interaction with native speakers and learn about communication skills through instant feedback. Therefore, when organizing a team teaching in general English classes, university administration and teachers need to reflect the diverse needs of learners' international education in order to create satisfactory language classes. Within the framework of liberal education, English education in the future should prepare a way to train L2 learners so that they can improve language skills and increase internationalization capabilities.

본 연구는 교양영어 영역에서 원어민 교수의 협력수업이 국가가 요구하 고 있는 국제화 노력에 발맞추어 학습자들에게 국제화 교육에 대해 어떠한 인 식을 주고 있는지 살펴보았다. 또한 원어민 교수의 협력수업에서 선호하는 언 어기능별 습득 및 교수방식에 대한 선호도를 살펴봄으로써 제2언어 습득의 효 율성을 높이는 방법을 모색해 보았다. 설문조사 결과, 학습자들은 원어민 교 수와의 협력수업은 국제화 역량을 강화시키는데 기여하고 있는 것으로 인지 하였다. 원어민 교수와의 상호작용은 언어학습에 자극을 주었고, 이러한 긍정 적인 학습인식은 타문화에 대해서도 개방적인 태도를 갖게 하는 것으로 이어 졌다. 선호하는 언어의 기능별 습득에 대한 설문에서 원어민 교수와 학습하 고 싶은 언어기능에 대해서는 말하기, 발음, 듣기를 중심으로 하는 언어기능별 습득을 우선적으로 요구하였다. 반면, 문법과 독해학습은 그에 비해 상대적으 로 요구가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 선호하는 원어민교수의 교수방식으로는 연 습토론, 학습자간의 교류를 통한 역할극 방식의 수업과 그룹 발표형식을 통한 교수방식을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 학습자들은 원어민 교수와의 직접 교류를 확장시키고, 즉각적인 피드백을 통해 실용적이고 현장에서 활용 가능 한 의사소통 능력의 배양에 대한 학습요구를 보여주었다. 따라서 교양영어 영 역에서 원어민 교수의 협력수업을 편성할 때, 학습자의 요구를 반영하여 국제 화 교육이 실현될 수 있는 다양하고 만족스러운 언어수업으로 만들어야 할 것 이다. 앞으로 교양교육의 틀 안에서의 영어교육은 어학능력 뿐만 아니라 국제 화 능력을 갖출 수 있는 인재들을 양성하는데 응용할 수 있는 방법으로서 나아가야 할 것이다.
