This study aims to prove that a different description of the Theory of 鴻嘉(Hong-ga) 4 year 甲辰(BC 17) Onjo-founder for the Theory of 鴻嘉 3 year 癸卯(BC 18) Onjo-founder. Also, This study explores the relation between the Theory of 鴻嘉 4 year 甲辰 Onjo-founder and Theory of 鴻嘉 3 year 癸卯 Onjo-founder. The Theory of 鴻嘉 4 year 甲辰 Onjo-founder is written by a author of Samgukyusa who referred to Gu-Samguksa. Doubt a author of Samguksagi had about “Who is The founder of Baekje” was due to embed errors in Gu-Samguksa, that is to say defects originate from the Theory of 鴻嘉 4 year 甲辰 Onjo-founder. Owing to defects of the Theory of 鴻嘉 4 year 甲辰 Onjo-founder, a author of Samguksagi inserted the Theory of 鴻嘉 3 year 癸卯(BC 18) Onjo-founder in Samguksagi expunged the Theory of 鴻嘉 4 year 甲辰 Onjo-founder in company with a Onjo’s character sketch instead. In the end, a author of Samgukyusa who could’t understand problems a author of Samguksagi had recognized wrote the Theory of 鴻嘉 4 year 甲辰 Onjo-founder in company with a Onjo’s character sketch referred to Gu-Samguksa on Samgukyusa.

본 연구는 온조의 홍가 4년 甲辰(BC 17)년 백제 건국설이 『삼국사기』 온조 건국설의 異說임을 입증하고, 『삼국사기』 온조의 홍가 3년 癸卯(BC 18)년 건국설과의 관계를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 온조의 홍가 4년 갑진년 백제 건국설과 온조의 인물평은 『삼국유사』 찬자가 『구삼국사』를 참고하고서 기재한 것이다. 『삼국사기』 찬자가 가졌던 백제 시조에 대한 의문은『구삼국사』에 내재했던 오류, 즉 홍가 4년 백제 건국설의 오류에서 비롯한 문제점 때문이었다. 홍가 4년 백제 건국설의 오류 때문에 『삼국사기』 찬자는 『삼국사기』에 홍가 3년 건국설을 삽입했고, 대신 기존 온조의 홍가 4년 건국설과 인물평을 누락시켰다. 결국 『삼국사기』 찬자가 인식했던 문제점을 이해하지 못한 『삼국유사』 찬자는, 『구삼국사』를 참고하여 온조의 홍가 4년 건국설과 인물평을 『삼국유사』에 기재한 것이다.
