Currently, most exhibitions at museums, art galleries, and exhibition halls which are popular utilize museography and scenography in an effort to communicating with visitors actively. Even with the efforts of these changes, some studies on exhibition experiences continue to focus on interests and technology as well as related areas in very limited ways. Now, however, it is time to explore the polysemy of significance and substance, becoming involved in pursuing a means of exhibition experience. This research illuminates the characteristics of interactivity in popular exhibitions and links this concept with art experience to analyze the relationships between artistic experience and exhibition from the perspective of John Dewey, who wrote of what was termed ‘art as experience.’ It was found that the latest exhibitions actively reflect the shifting current communication methods. Especially in terms of the essential meaning and value of the exhibition experience, interactive exhibitions led to active participation by visitors to provide them with an immersive experience. Ultimately, to take an extra measure at this point, such interactive media can give visitors em artistic experiences with popular exhibitions that can only be observed in the field of art.

최근 박물관, 전시관, 박람회와 같은 대중성을 지닌 전시들은 관람객과의 적극적인 상호소통 방식의 전시연출(museography and scenography)을 적극적으로 도입하고 있다. 이러한 변화에도 불구하고 전시경험에 대한 연구는 테크놀로지의 측면이나 그에 따른 흥미에 초점이 맞춰져 있었다. 그러나 이제는 전시경험에 대해 보다 본질적으로 접근함으로써 그 의미의 다의성을 추구해야 할 시점이 다. 본 연구는 이러한 대중성을 지닌 전시에서 나타나는 상호작용적 특성을 예술에서의 경험과 연 계하여 조명하고, ‘일상으로 확장된 예술적 경험’이란 관점에서 분석하였다. 결론적으로 최근 전시 는 변화하는 예술의 소통방식을 적극 반영하고 있으며, 특히 전시경험에 대한 본질적인 의미와 가 치의 관점에서, 인터랙티브 전시콘텐츠는 예술에서와 같이 관람객의 참여를 유도하고 몰입적인 경 험을 제공함으로서 그동안 예술영역에서만 국한되었던 미적 경험을 대중적 전시에도 적용할 수 있 다는 논거를 도출하였다.
