The marine algal flora were examined at 11 studied islands of the Hallyeohaesang National Park and Beakdo, during February to November 2012~2013. As a result, a total number of 240 species of benthic marine algae (21 green, 62 brown and 157 red algae) were identified. The most species (117) were found at Beakdo, while the fewest (55) were found at Galgotdo. On the basis of the clustering analysis, 11 islands were classified into two groups, coastal and the open sea. This floristic discontinuity between the two groups might be caused from the difference of water movement gradient.

한려해상국립공원 내 10개 도서와 다도해해상국립공원 백도를 2012년 계절별로, 2013년은 겨울을 제외한 3 계절에 조사하였다. 조사결과 총 240종(녹조류 21종, 갈조류 62종, 홍조류 157종)의 해조류가 출현하였다. 백도에 서 가장 많은 117종(녹조류 6종, 갈조류 29종, 홍조류 82종)이 출현하였고, 갈곶도에서 55종(녹조류 2종, 갈조류 16 종, 홍조류 37종)이 출현하여 가장 적은 해조류 출현이 나타났다. 출현 해조류를 바탕으로 집괴분석을 실시한 결과 연안의 도서와 외해의 도서로 집괴되는 특징이 나타났고, 이는 해수운동의 강약에 의한 결과이다.
