This studies the attributes of the contents related with Shin Sunggyeom for cultural trourism festival and the necessities for inheritance. Shin Sunggyeom-related contents has three attributes as for Cultural tourism festival. First, Shin Sunggyeom became a god as a guardian of community and enshrined in several places. Second, he had some features as a god such that he had the Big Dipper shaped warts, he shot down a wild goose, and he had foresight of the Right. Third, He had a special power as in his ability to see ghosts, in the episode of grave robbery and in the episode of fairies. Second focus is on the necessities for inheritance of Shin Sunggyeom-related contents which featured in Palguanhoe Festival from Korea Dynasty. Shin Sunggyeom was already a god with the form of imaginary figurehead in the first Palguanhoe Festival by Wanggeon, the 1st king of Korea Dynasty. Masquerade, Chinese Poetry Play and old Korean Folk Song Play which were held in Palguanhoe Festival can be items for the Shin Sunggyeom-related tourism festival. "One-wheeled Chariot Fight" can be a variation of Shin Sunggyeom-related item in Palguanhoe Festival. So Shin Sunggyeom-related strory has enough attributes to be a Festival and to be worthy of inheritance.

이 논문은 신숭겸 관련 콘텐츠가 가지는 관광문화축제의 속성 및 계승의 필요성에 대한 고찰이다. 먼저 신숭겸 관련 이야기가 관광문화축제로 성공할 수 있는 속성에는 세 가지가 있었다. 첫째는 신숭겸이 죽 어서 신이 되어야 하는데, 곡성의 성황신이 되고 여러 사당에 배향되고 있었다. 둘째는 살았을 때 신이한 행적 이 있어야 하는데, 북두칠성 모양의 사마귀, 기러기를 쏘아 맞힌 사건, 대의를 볼 수 있는 예지력 등이 있었다. 셋째는 신으로써 영험을 보여야 하는데, 귀신을 보는 신통함, 도굴꾼 이야기, 도깨비 이야기 등이 있었다. 다음은 고려 축제인 팔관회에서 행해지던 신숭겸 관련 콘텐츠를 현대에 계승하는 문제였다. 이미 태조 왕건이 처음 팔관회를 열 때부터 고려 내내 팔관회에서는 신숭겸이 가상으로 반열에 올라있음을 보았다. 팔관회에서 있었던 신숭겸 관련 콘텐츠로는 가면극 잡희, 한시놀이, 향가놀이 등이 이미 행해졌으므로 신숭겸 관련 관광 축제의 놀이형태를 현대적으로 활용하여 이어받을 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 춘천의 ‘외바퀴수레싸움놀이’도 신 숭겸 관련 팔관회 놀이의 한 유습일 수 있음을 알았다. 따라서 신숭겸 관련 이야기는 축제의 속성을 갖추고 있으며, 현대적 계승이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.
