This study was intended to validate applicability of pictorial test based on DAS and KHTP picture reaction characteristics of anxiety and depression, the major concurrent symptoms in alcoholics. The subjects of this study were 54 patients who had been admitted to specialized alcoholism treatment facility located at W-county in accordance with DSM-Ⅴ(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition) and voluntarily expressed intention for participation. For the study, the data obtained from depression test(BDI), anxiety test(BAI), DAS(Draw-A-Store) and KHTP(Kinetic House-Tree-Person) test were collected and analyzed. For statistical processing of the collected data, SPSS 18.0 program was used. The conclusions through the research results are as follows. First, subjects earned depression(BDI) score of 21.01(standard deviation of 10.14) corresponding to severe depression and anxiety (BAI) score of 20.48(standard deviation of 9.02) which implied serious anxiety. Second, we examined correlation among depression, anxiety, and picture(DAS, KHTP) reaction characteristics in alcoholics. The results suggested that there was a negative correlation between depression(BDI) and DAS. In other words, higher depression(BDI) score implied more negative reaction to DAS test(emotional details, self-image, use of humor). Moreover, overall analysis of anxiety(BAI) and KHTP showed that there was a positive correlation. In other words, subjects with higher anxiety(BAI) score were more inclined to draw pictures reflecting anxiety as found in overall analysis of KHTP. Third, regarding the pictorial reaction characteristics in alcoholics as manifested by pictures(DAS, KHTP), subjects with higher depression score were found to have earned lower scores related to emotional details, self-image and use of humor in DAS picture. Furthermore, subjects with higher anxiety score were found to have earned higher scores related to formal analysis(attitude during the test, erasing, position, size, pen pressure and line characteristics, shadow and shading) and substantive analysis(house, tree, portrait) based on picture (KHTP) reaction characteristics. Thus, the results showed significant correlation in DAS and KHTP picture reaction characteristics of depression and anxiety, proving their usefulness as projective test.

본 연구는 알코올 중독자의 주요동반 증상인 우울과 불안을 DAS와 KHTP의 그림반응 특성을 통해 그림검사 활용의 가능성 을 검증하고자 하였다. W군에 위치한 알코올전문병원에서 DSM-V에 의거해서 알코올 중독으로 입원치료 중인 환자 중 자발적으로 참여의사를 밝힌 54명을 연구대상자로 선정하였으며 연구를 위해 우울검사(BDI), 불안검사(BAI), DAS(Draw-A-Store) 그리고 KHTP(Kinetic House-Tree-Person) 검사를 활용하고 수거하여 자료를 분석하였고 자료처리를 위하여 SPSS 18.0 프로그 램을 사용하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상자의 우울(BDI)점수는 21.01점(표준편차 10.14)으로 중한 우울상태로 나타났으며 또한 불안(BAI)점수는 20.48 점(표준편차 9.02)으로 심한 불안상태로 나타났다. 둘째, 알코올 중독자의 우울, 불안 및 그림(DAS, KHTP)반응 특성간의 관계를 알아본 결과 우울(BDI)과 DAS에서 부적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 우울(BDI)의 점수가 높을수록 DAS검사(정서내용, 자아상, 유머사용)에 대한 내용이 부정 적임을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 불안(BAI)과 KHTP의 전체분석에서 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 불안(BAI)점수가 높을수록 KHTP의 전체분석에서 불안을 나타내는 그림이 그려졌음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 그림(DAS, KHTP)을 통해 나타난 알코올 중독자의 그림반응특성에서는 우울점수가 높은 사람의 경우 DAS그림에서 정서내용, 자아상, 유머사용 점수가 낮게 나타났다. 또한 불안점수가 높은 사람일수록 그림(KHTP)를 통해 형식적 분석(검사 시의 태도, 지우기, 위치, 크기, 필압과 선의 성질, 그림자와 음영), 내용적 분석(집, 나무, 인물화)에서 점수가 높게 나타났다. 따라서 우울과 불안에 대한 DAS와 KHTP의 그림반응특성에서 유의미한 상관관계를 보여 투사검사로서의 유용성을 입증할 수 있었다.
