대학생 집단의 대인관계 성장 글쓰기가 용서 및 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

The Effects of the Growth-Writing about Interpersonal Relationship on Forgiveness and Subjective Well-being

This study examined the effects of Growth-Writing designed to supplement the limitations of Expressive Writing on forgiveness and subjective well-being. 92 students were randomly assigned to 3 groups: Growth-Writing(n=31), Expressive Writing(n=30), Control(n=31). Participants completed the EFI, PANAS, and SWLS before writing, and after 3 sessions of writing, they completed the same questionnaires. As a results, the Growth-Writing group showed statistically significant increases in forgiveness compared with the expressive writing and control groups. Both writing groups exhibited a significant improvement on the scores of the subjective well-being compared with control. However, both writing groups made no differences unexpectedly. The results of study revealed that both Growth-Writing and Expressive Writing offer superior benefits to writer’s the subjective well-being, and especially Growth-Writing was an effective method to the scores of the forgiveness. Implications for research on the effects of the Growth-Writhing are discussed.

본 연구는 표현적 글쓰기의 한계를 보완한 성장 글쓰기(Growth-Writing)가 용서 및 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 총 92명의 대학생 참가자들은 성장 글쓰기 집단, 표현적 글쓰기 집단 및 무처치 통제 집단에 무선적으로 할당되었다. 각 참가자들은 글쓰기 전 용서와 주관적 안녕감 질문지를 작성하였고, 3회에 걸친 글쓰기를 시행한 후 동일한 질문지를 다시 작성하였다. 연구 결과, 성장 글쓰기 집단은 표현적 글쓰기와 통제 집단에 비해, 글쓰기 이후 용서 수준에서 다소간의 증진을 보였다. 주관적 안녕감의 경우, 성장 글쓰기 집단과 표현적 글쓰기 집단 모두 통제 집단에 비해 글쓰기 이후 유의미한 증가를 보였는데, 성장 글쓰기 집단과 표현적 글쓰기 집단의 차이는 유의미하지 않았다. 연구의 결과는 성장 글쓰기와 표현적 글쓰기 모두 주관적 안녕감에 효과가 있으며, 특히 성장 글쓰기는 용서에 긍정적인 이점이 있음을 밝혔다. 주요 결과들을 바탕으로 선행연구와의 차이점 및 제한점, 추후 연구를 위한 제언 등이 논의되었다.
