This paper will critically examine philosophical premises which is the background of 'Wèifāxīntǐ(未發心體)'. Three claims is included in this paper. First, 'Wèi fā xīn tǐ' is an attempt to explain normativity on the basis of philosophical assumption of 'being-value' identification. Second, Duplicate use of ｢causal｣ scheme that consider 'cause-effect' relationships with the axis formed innate idea called 'xīn tǐ(心體)'. Third, Metaphor of ｢The mind is a mirror｣ which is a theoretical tool to speak the mind convincingly as a subject of moral conduct forms the core of the theory of 'Wèi fā xīn tǐ(未發心體)'. Finally, 'Wèi fā xīn tǐ' is not final vocabulary of Neo-Confucianism. The remaining problem is for us to stop mental cramp and to look at this word again. And at this very time to determine what is the adventure of thinking to try again.
