The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the art activity linkage with traditional children’s songs on young children’s drawing representation, language. and musical expression ability. The total of 50 five year-old children(mean age 72.11) attend S and N kindergarten located in U city participated in this study. The subjects were consisted of experimental group(25 children in S kindergarten) and comparative group(25children in N kindergarten). The art activity linkage with traditional children’s songs was applied in the experimental group and the art activity based on Nuri curriculum was applied in the comparative group. For data collection, the study utilized the 'The Drawing Representation Inventory', 'Language Comprehension Intelligence', and 'The Musical Expression Ability Test Tool'. SPSS 20.0 and ANCOVA were used to analyzed the data. The results of this study showed that the experimental group achieved higher score on drawing representation, language, and musical expression ability compared with the comparative group.

언어능력, 그리고 음악표현능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 전래동요와 연계한 미술활동은 전 래동요와 친숙해 지기, 전래동요와 연계한 미술활동하기, 전래동요와 연계한 미술활동작품 감상하기 및 토의하기 과정으로 구성하였으며, 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 총 50명을 연구대상으로 선정 하였다. 연구대상의 평균 월령은 72.ll 이었다. 실험집단과 비교집단은 무선으로 할당하고 실험집단에 는 본 연구를 위해 개발된 전래동요와 연계한 미술활동을 처치하고 비교집단에는 누리과정에 기초한 미술활동을 제공하였다. 실험 처지 전과 후에 ‘유아 그리기표상능력평가도구’, ’언어이해인지력검사도 구’, 그리고 ‘음악적 표현능력 검사도구’를 사용하여 연구 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 ANCOVA 를 사용하여 실험처치 효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 실험집단이 비교집단 보다 그리기표상능력, 언어 능력, 음악표현능력에서 점수가 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다.
