Digital society seeks diversity. This made ​​the pursuit of understanding and reconciliation in society. But it has caused a conflict between people in analog society and people in digital society. However, it is difficult to find a way to solve the conflict. Because generational conflict is not something that can be done only by the efforts of a certain generation. This is possible when a consensus was formed between generations. What is the way? This study finds the answer in the ‘HYO’. Specifically looks at Hyo of endearment. Because it enhances the emotional ties that can bind generations together and it teaches that acknowledged that each separate object. Therefore, in this study was confirmed through the Hyo of endearment from the family to spread to society for today's conflicts and understanding between generations.

디지털 시대는 다양성을 추구한다. 이는 사회적으로 이해와 화해를 추구하게 만들었다. 그러나 반작용 현상으로 디지털 사회를 살아가는 사람과 아날로그 사회를 살아갔던 사람들의 사고의 충돌은 세대 간의 갈등을 야기했다. 그런데 이 갈등을 해결할 수 있는 방법을 찾는 것은 매우 어렵다. 왜냐하면 세대 간의 갈등은 특정 세대의 노력에 의해서만 이루어질 수 있는 것이 아니기 때문이다. 이는 세대 간의 공감대가 비로소 형성되었을 때 가능하다. 그렇다면 세대 간의 공감대를 형성할 수 있는 방안은 무엇이 있을까? 본 논문에서는 이를 ‘효’에서 찾고 있다. 그중에서도 ‘친애’의 효를 제시하고 있다. 왜냐하면 ‘친애’의 효는 각 세대를 하나로 묶을 수 있는 정서적 유대감을 강화시킴과 동시에 각자가 독립된 개체임을 인정하도록 가르치기 때문이다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 가족으로부터 시작된 사랑이 사회로의 사랑으로 확산되게 만드는 친애의 효를 통해 오늘날 세대 간의 갈등과 이해에 대해 재조명하였다.
