마약류 중독자의 치료ㆍ사회복귀 지원 활성화를 위한 대표적인 치료적 개입방안으로 치료감호를들 수 있다. 그럼 에도 불구하고 마약류 중독자의 치료감호제도는 효과적으로 운영되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 마약류 중독자에 대한 치료감호제도의 방안을 탐색하여 효과적인 방안의 우선순위를정하는 것이다. 우 선 마약류 중독자에 대한 치료감호제도 방안을 구체적으로 탐색하였으며, 이를바탕으로 AHP분석 기법을 이용 마 약류 중독자의 치료감호 개선방안을 상위 수준 및 하위 수준별로 항목간의 중요도를 파악하여 우선순위를 도출하 였다. 그 결과 가장 중요하다고 응답한 요인은 치료대상군별 분리수용 처우였다. 두 번째는 대체주의의예외규정, 세 번째 는 수용시설의 다양화, 네 번째가 치료감호대체 치료제도 마련, 다섯 번째가 다양한 프로그램의 개발 순이였다. 이를 바탕으로 우선시 되어야 할 개선방안으로 마약류 중독자에 대한 독립된 시설에서의 처우,치료효과를 극대화 하고 실제 사회재통합에도 기여할 수 있도록 대체주의의 보완, 개인의 특성을고려한 프로그램의 적용을 제시하였다.
