In this study, the current status of career tests for elementary school students were investigated. The psychometric properties of career tests for children were analyzed that were adopted in the published articles since 2000. Identified career tests for children include a career awareness scale, a career development test, career maturity tests, career interest tests, a career aspiration scale, and a career self-efficacy scale. Identified career tests were composed of a mixture of tests and scales that were originally developed for children, as well as tests originally targeted for secondary school students. Strengths and weaknesses of the career tests for children were reviewed. Suggestions for further improving career tests for elementary school students were described. The limitations of the current study were described.

초등학생 대상 진로상담 및 교육의 중요성이 강조되면서, 초등학생들의 진로발달정도를 평가 하고 진로개입의 효과를 확인하기 위한 진로심리검사도 다양하게 개발되어 사용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 진로연구에서 사용되는 초등학생용 진로심리검사의 종류를 탐색하고 검사들 의 장단점을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 2000년 이후 국내외 학술지에 게재된 논문에서 사용된 초등학생용 진로심리검사들을 확인하였고, 원검사의 대상, 검사개발과정, 검사의 신뢰도와 타 당도 등을 점검하고 검사들의 특징을 분석하였다. 초등학생용 진로심리검사로는 진로인식 및 발달검사, 진로성숙도검사, 진로흥미검사, 진로포부검사, 진로자기효능감검사 등이 다양하게 사용되는 것으로 나타났다. 국내에 사용되는 초등학생용 진로심리검사들은 이론적 가정과 전 문가들의 검토를 통해 검사의 요인과 문항을 결정하는 경우가 많은 반면, 초등학생들의 행동 관찰 등을 검사내용이나 문항에 반영하는 경우는 드문 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연구에 사용되 는 진로심리검사들은 초등학생용으로 개발된 검사들도 있지만, 청소년용의 검사를 초등학생 에게 적용하는 경우도 있어 개선이 필요한 것으로 보인다. 연구의 제한점 및 후속연구를 위 한 제언이 이루어졌다.
