This study was conducted to assess job tasks and provide a job analysis of music therapist. For this purpose, a review literatures, preliminary examination, focus group interview, and the survey were adapted. A total of six-duties, 16 tasks and 77 sub-tasks were classified by using job analysis. Six duties of music therapist were as follows: A:assessing and establishing goals, B:team approach, C:planning and implementing, D:evaluating, E:counseling and F:self-developing. Sixteen tasks were broken down from 6 duties; collecting of clients's information, assessing, establishing goals and objectives, counseling with related specialists, selecting method of music therapy, constructing musical activity, implementing, noting progress, evaluating goal and objectives, reconstructing music therapy intervention, counselling with client and parents, doing research of clinical practice, developing music therapy program, improving quality of music therapist. Based on this, the survey form was developed with 77 sub-tasks and sent via e-mail to 16 music therapists who had over five- years of experience. Participants were asked to evaluate level of importance, level of difficulty, and frequence of duty with 5-likert scale. According to the results of study, counseling(mean=4.69) is the most important duty, and team approach(mean=4.39) is the least important duty. Self-developing(mean=3.69) is the is the most difficulty duty, and planning and implementing(mean=3.11) is the least difficulty duty. In the category of frequence, the planning and implementing(mean=3.26) is the most frequently carried out duty, and team approach(mean=3.26) is the least frequently carried out duty. The results of this study anticipates facilitation of understanding, and improvement in work conditions for current music therapists. In addition, institutions will be able to use this information to develop a practical training curriculum for music therapy students.

이 연구는 음악치료사의 직무를 알아보고 표준안을 개발하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구, 초점집단, 질문지법을 적용하여 직무분석을 실시하였다. 문헌연구에서는 음악치료 직무와 관련된 기존 문헌을 분석하여 핵심 내용을 추출하였으며, 이후 초점집단의 논의와 전문가 집단의 내용타당도 검증을 실시하여 총 6개의 임무와 16개의 과업, 그리고 총 77개의 세부과업을 추출하였다. 즉, 음악치료사 직무는 ‘A: 진단 및 목표설정’, ‘B: 팀 접근’, ‘C: 치료계획 및 적용하기’, ‘D: 치료평가’, ‘E: 상담’, ‘F: 자기개발’의 6개의 임무와 ‘클라이언트 기초자료 수집하기’, ‘발달 및 장애의 특성 진단하기’, ‘장단기 치료목표 설정하기’, ‘팀 내 전문가와 정보교류하기’, ‘공동 치료계획 수립하기’, ‘관련 전문가 상담하기’, ‘음악치료방법 및 기법 선택하기’, ‘음악치료 활동 구성하기’, ‘음악치료 적용하기’, ‘세션 내용 기록하기’, ‘장단기목표달성여부 평가하기’, ‘음악치료 중재 및 재구성하기’, ‘클라이언트나 보호자와 상담하기’, ‘임상관련 연구하기’와 ‘대상별 음악치료 프로그램 개발하기’, ‘치료사의 능력 개발하기’의 총 16개의 과업을 도출할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 세부과업인 총 77개의 문항으로 구성된 설문지를 제작하였고, 질문지법을 통해 5년 이상 경력의 음악치료사 16명을 대상으로 음악치료사의 직무에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 대상자는 각 항목에 대한 중요도, 난이도, 수행 빈도를 Likert 5점 척도를 사용하여 표시하도록 하였다. 분석 결과 6개의 임무 중 ‘상담’이 평균 4.69점으로 가장 높은 중요도를 보였고, 상대적으로 낮은 중요도는 ‘팀 접근’으로 평균 4.39점을 나타냈다. 난이도에서는 ‘자기개발’이 평균 3.69점으로 가장 높은 수준을 보였으며, 상대적으로 가장 낮은 수준의 난이도는 평균 3.11점으로 ‘치료계획 및 적용하기’로 분석되었다. 수행 빈도에 있어서는 평균 4.16점으로 ‘치료계획 및 적용하기’가 가장 높은 수준으로 분석되었으며, ‘팀 접근’이 평균 3.26점으로 상대적으로 낮은 수준의 수행 빈도를 보였다. 이와 같은 결과는 음악치료사들의 직무이해와 직무개선에 도움이 될 것이며 또한 전문 음악치료사를 양상하기 위한 교육과정 개발 및 훈련을 위한 기초자료로도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
