The U.S. Subprime Mortgage Problem-Its Causes and Some Countermeasures

This paper would like to find out the real causes of recent United States subprime mortgage market disorder from the point of global 100 years' politico-cultural cycle, 50 years' medium-term techno-managerial cycle. and 20 years' short-medium-term construction cycle. Then, scrutinize the causes, e.g. mortgage market's bubble caused by Federal Reserves' easy money policy, financial deregulations stemmed from Reagan Administration in due course of globalisation, together with the wasty Afghanistan-Iraqi War, and finally high risk and high return subprime mortgage market with lack of financial discipline and inappropriate financial supervision system, etc. As a conclusion, this paper extends some policy countermeasures.
