This Study is aim to establish the meaning of 'Architecture of Resistance' in the rehabilitation of abandoned industrial facility by analyzing some European cases through the perspective of Kenneth Frampton's Critical Regionalism. Since the rehabilitation of abandoned industrial facility has the architectural elements as its design objects, the research tried to interpret them by using the concept of architecture of resistance which has a tectonic perspective. To achieve the goal the research had searched for the meaning of architecture of resistance through theoretical studies and had realized the importance of setting up those tectonic elements and tactile experiences in rehabilitation design by analyzing the characteristics of the relevant cases. As a result the meaning of architecture of resistance in the rehabilitation of abandoned industrial facility is the architectonic representation of meaningful tectonic form from existing facility. Also, architecture of resistance will be formed by 'recovering meaningful tectonic elements from abandoned facility', 'making the tectonic form in the current condition' and 'architectural adjusting of the way of tactile experience'.

본 연구는 유휴 산업시설 재생에 대하여 케네스 프램턴의 비판적 지역주의의 관점으로 분석하고 그 과정에서 저항의 건축의 의미를 규명하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 유휴 산업시설의 재생은 그 대상에 기존 시설물이 계획 요소로 존재한다는 특징이 있어 저항의 건축의 지닌 구축성의 관점을 적용하여 해석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 저항의 건축의 의미를 파악하였으며, 동시에 유휴 산업시설의 특징을 분석함으로써 재생계획에서 구축요소와 촉각적 경험의 설정이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 그 결과 유휴 산업시설 재생에서 저항의 건축의 의미는 기존 건축물이 지닌 의미 있는 구축성의 현대적 건축화이라 할 수 있다. 또한 저항의 건축은 ‘기존 시설물에서 현재 시점의 의미 있는 구축 요소의 발견’과 ‘이를 바탕으로 새로운 조건에 의해 형성된 구축 형태’ 그리고 이러한 구축 형태에 대한 ‘촉각적 경험의 건축적 설정’을 통하여 형성되어진다.
