The matter of vehicle action has been steadily developed by advanced researchers' experimental research and analyzing experience and is now arrived at high level upon fact finding from traffic accidents. In accidents occurred in signal intersection. However, the violation of traffic signal by the subject vehicle is evaluated only by human data such as simple deposition made by the witness or survivors. As it is not physical data or sufficient systematic scientific verification method. It does not give high level of reliability making both the persons concerned in the accident and investigators. To solve out this kind of difficulty, this study investigated the verification method on traffic signal violation which is a kind of engineering method by using the pre-passing state based on adjacent signal interworking.

교통사고의 진상 규명에 있어 차량의 거동에 관한 사항은 선행 연구자들의 실험 연구와 분석경 험을 통해 꾸준히 개발되어 왔고 높은 수준에 도달해 있다. 그러나 신호 교차로에서 발생한 사고에서 당 사자 차량의 신호위반 여부 평가는 인적자료로서 목격자 또는 생존자의 단순 진술에만 의존하고 있는 실 정으로 이는 물적 자료가 아닐 뿐만 아니라, 체계적 및 과학적 검증방법으로서 미흡하여 고도의 신뢰성 을 갖지 못해 사고관계인 및 조사관들 모두 어려움에 빠져 있다. 여기에서는 이러한 난점을 해결하기 위 한 공학적 방법의 하나로 인접 신호연동을 기초로 직전 통과상태를 활용하여 신호위반 여부에 대한 평 가기법을 탐색해 보았다.
