This study supposes highly-educated unemployment as social crisis, and analyses various factors causing highly-educated women's employment crisis into individualism, structuralism, and social network. Then this study attempts to propose desirable alternatives for activating employment. According to this analysis, we can find out that woman herself, gender-difference in job, especially, employment supporting system has an central influence on employment crisis. Besides, there needs to be focused on building social network for overcoming this crisis. Further details are as follows. First, universities in community must improve supporting infra for intensifying interpersonal network, such as providing timely information and publicity, offering relevant job consulting, and linking honorable mentor. Second, this study suggests constructing recruiting infra, activating community recruiting, establishing specialized information agency, and building cooperative relations among concerned, viewing from inter-institution network in community.

이 연구에서는 고학력 여성의 실업 문제를 사회적 위기로 인식하고, 고학력 여성의 취업위기를 가져온 요인을 개인주의적 관점, 구조주의적 관점, 사회적 네트워크 관점에서 분석한 후, 이들의 취업 위기를 극복하고 타개하여 취업을 활성화할 수 있는 방안을 모색해보고자 하였다. 분석 결과 전남 지역 고학력 여성의 취업위기에는 여성 자신과 직장 내 남녀차별, 그리고 취업지원체계의 요인이 영향을 미친다는 사실을 발견할 수 있었다. 그리고 이를 통해 고학력 여성의 취업 위기를 극복하기 위해서는 사회적 네트워크 형성에 초점을 맞출 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 취업 위기극복을 위한 사회적 네트워크 구축방안으로 첫째, 대학 내 취업지원인프라 개선을 통한 개인 간 네트워크 강화 방안으로는 정보 제공, 홍보, 상담 및 멘토링 등을 제시하였으며, 둘째, 지역사회와의 연계를 통한 기관 간 네트워크 강화 방안으로 리크루팅(recruiting) 인프라 구축, 커뮤니티 리크루팅(community recruiting) 활성화, 정보전문기관 설립, 유관기관 간 공조체계 구축 등을 제시하였다.
