The purpose of this study is to evaluate the customer satisfaction of traffic accident investigation police services and to analyze the priority of the determining factors influencing the customer satisfaction of police services. For this purpose, the surveys were conducted in 15 police stations in Jeonbuk Province to measure the customer satisfaction. Also, to analyze the priority of determining factors influencing to the citizen satisfaction, this study used the customer satisfaction as the dependent variable. And as the independent variables, this study used four administrative factors(accident investigation capability, responding attitude toward customer, quality of service, physical environment). The following is a summary of the research findings. First, four administrative factors have direct and indirect effects on the customer satisfaction. Especially, analyzing the relative contribution of exogenous variables on the customer satisfaction, accident investigation capability has greatest effect on the customer satisfaction than the others. Second, the difference between the gender is not statistically significant. But 40s and 50s are more satisfied than 20s and 30s. And tertiary police station showed higher satisfaction level than foremost police station.

본 연구는 교통사고조사 경찰서비스에 대한 주민만족도를 평가해보고, 경찰서비스의 주민만족도에 영향을 미치는 결정요인들의 우선순위를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 전북지역 15개 경찰서의 관할주민을 대상으로 설문조사를 이용하여 주민만족도를 측정하였다. 또한 주민만족도에 영향을 미치는 결정요인들의 우선순위를 분석하기 위하여 주민만족도를 종속변수로 설정하고, 네 가지 행정적 요인(사고조사 역량, 응대태도, 서비스 품질, 물리적 환경)을 독립변수로 설정하였다. 분석결과, 네 가지 행정적 요인들은 모두 주민만족도에 직·간접적인 영향을 미친다. 특히, 주민만족도에 대한 외생변수들의 상대적 기여도를 분석한 바, 사고조사의 역량이 응대태도나 서비스 품질, 물리적 환경보다 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 성별은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었으나, 연령은 전반적으로 40대·50대의 만족도가 20대·30대의 만족도보다 높았으며, 급지별로는 3급지가 1급지보다는 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.
