The purpose of this study was identify the effects of fall prevention program in care facilities workers, provide basic data for developing interventions for the elderly safety. The subjects of this study were 80 care facilities workers. they were nurses, nurse's aids, social workers and care helper. Data were collected through structured questionnaire from February 2014 to June 2014 in two care facilities. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson’ correlation by SPSS 20.0. The mean age of the subjects was 44.58yrs and the mean of career months was 58.36months. Before and after fall prevention program training, mean score of knowledge of fall(p=.000) and mean score self efficacy(p=.030) significant increased statistically. Before fall prevention training, as knowledge of falls increased, burden of falls was decreased. The correlation was statistically significant(p=0.22). And as knowledge of falls increased, self-efficacy of falls was increased. The correlation was statistically significant too(p=.000). After the correlation of Knowledge of falls with self-efficacy(p=.006) and the correlation of burden of falls with self-efficacy(p=.000) had significant results. It is necessary to develop fall prevention program to prevent fall in care facilities for elderly people.

본 연구는 노인요양시설 종사자들의 낙상예방교육 전 후의 낙상에 대한 지식, 낙상 부담감, 자기효능감 정도를 비교하고 이들의 상관관계를 규명하기 위하여 시도되었다. 연구결과 낙상에 대한 지식은 교육 후 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였으며 낙상부담감은 감소하였으나 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 또한 낙상에 대한 자기효능감은 교육 후 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 대상자의 낙상에 대한 지식과 낙상부담감은 역상관관계가 있었으며 낙상에 대한 지식과 자기효능감은 순상관관계를 보였다. 본 연구를 통해 낙상예방교육이 지식과 정보를 습득하여 낙상에 대한 부담감을 감소시키고 자기효능감을 증가시키는 것을 알 수 있었다. 노인요양시설 종사자들이 낙상위험요인을 확인하고 적절한 중재를 제공하여 낙상을 예방할 수 있도록 낙상예방교육은 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 노인요양시설 종사자들을 위한 낙상예방프로그램을 개발하여 지속적이고 전문적인 낙상예방교육을 실시하여 노인요양시설의 낙상발생률을 감소시키도록 하여야 할 것이다.
