This study examines the meaning of self-reflection writing, which informs the content and format of college writing education in a liberal arts education. Self-reflection writing is a writing genre that aims to have the student write about self-enlightenment and about problems of existence. It makes writing healing and helps the writer grow. First, self-reflection is "regressive →progressive →analysis →synthetical.” This is the process of self-reflection writing: Activation of memory → Language representation → Objectification of the incident → Restructuring of the incident → Recognition of the changes The writing program of university needs self-reflection writing. It can help with the improvement of logical writing abilities such as reporting, thesis development, and resume writing, because these features of writing can help develop positive communication in society with an understanding of others based on an understanding of oneself. Therefore, writing that easily expresses one’s emotion can improve logical writing ability.

이 논문에서는 대학 글쓰기 교육에서 이루어지는 ‘자기 성찰적 글쓰기’의 교 육 과정과 방법을 살펴봄으로써 ‘자기 성찰적 글쓰기’의 효용성과 그 의미를 살 펴보았다. ‘자기 성찰적 글쓰기’는 자신의 삶과 존재에 관한 문제를 기초적인 데 로부터 고민하고 반성하여 스스로 얻어낸 깨달음을 적는 글쓰기 장르라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 글쓰기는 입시에 몰두하느라 자신의 정체성에 대해 깊이 있게 고 민하지 못했던 대학 신입생들에게 의미 있는 사유의 과정을 제공한다. 먼저 자기 성찰은 ‘후향(regressive) →전향(progressive) →분석(analysis) → 종합(synthetical)’으로 진행된다. 그리고 이러한 인식의 전개에 따라 성찰적 글 쓰기의 과정은 ‘기억의 재생→언어로 형상화→사건의 객관화 및 재구조화→ 인식의 변화와 사고의 확장’ 순으로 전개됨을 알 수 있었다. 이 과정에 따라 글쓰기 수업 모형을 알아보았다. 먼저 마인드맵을 통해 경험을 활성화하였고 자신의 체험을 객관화시키기 위해 다양한 관점에서 사건을 바라보도 록 유도하였다. 이런 과정이 누적되어 완성된 글을 합평을 하여 학생필자들은 보편 적인 관점과 상식적인 관점에서 글을 재구성하였다. 이런 과정은 학생필자 자신을 포함한 이 세상을 이해하게 하고 자신의 문제를 본질적인 부분에서부터 생각하게 한다. 궁극적으로 자신의 삶을 스스로 해명하고 치유하고 성장하게 된다.
