The Xiejuzhidao of Daxue is to measure with a ruler and hold the scale even. Xiejuzhidao has something in common with reciprocity. It is not restricted to the empathy and consideration which is come from moral personality, furthermore it takes a practical measures in social-political context. Zhuzi regards the Xiejuzhidao of Daxue as a concrete political action based on moral influence. It means that the Xiejuzhidao does not infringe upon a person’s appropriate portion, and reaches a state of equilibrium in which each entity keeps a balance and harmony. Discriminating between righteousness and profit holds a very important position in the argument of Xiejuzhidao. From this point, we can come up with a theory of confucian politics and justice.

『대학』의 絜矩之道는 자로 재서 方正하게 하다라는 의미이다. 혈구지도가 恕의 의미와 상 통하는 것으로서 혈구지도와 서는 단지 도덕적 품성에서 나오는 정신적 공감과 배려에 한정 되지 않고 사회 정치적 맥락에서 실질적 조치를 하는 것이다. 주자는 『대학』의 혈구지도란 도덕적 감화에 기반한 구체적인 정치적 조치로서 이해한다. 그것은 존재 각각의 합당한 몫을 침해하지 않고 보장하여 각각의 존재가 균형과 조화를 이루는 방정한 상태에 도달하는 것이 다. 혈구지도론의 중심에 義利之辨이 자리잡고 있으며 여기서 유가의 정치론과 정의론이 도 출되고 있음을 알 수 있다.
