The purpose of this study is to find the mediating effects of job stress between jobsatisfaction and service subject’s violence cognizance of geriatric care worker at long-term carefacilities. Research method is to utilize a structured questionnaire with self-quantitative researchmethod. Data was collected eight cities in Korea, 24 institutions at the elderly long-term carefacilities and 264 geriatric care workers. The method of Analysis was used frequency analysis,reliability analysis, hierarchical regression analysis. The result was verified the mediatingeffects of job stress between job satisfaction and service subject’s violence cognizance ofgeriatric care worker at long-term care facilities. From the results of this study, it wassuggested three perspectives, namely, ‘institutional’ and ‘aspects of facility operations’, ‘personalside’ of the alternative.

본 연구의 목적은 노인요양시설 요양보호사가 인식하는 서비스대상자의 폭력성이 직무만족에 미치는영향에서 직무스트레스의 매개효과를 규명하는 것이다. 연구방법은 구조화된 자기기입식 설문지를 활용한양적연구방법을 활용하였다. 자료 수집은 전국의 8개 시․도, 24개소 노인장기요양시설에서 근무하고 있는요양보호사 264명을 대상으로 하였다. 분석방법은 빈도분석, 신뢰도 분석, 매개변인을 검증하기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과, 요양보호사가 인식하는 서비스대상자의 폭력성(언어적, 신체적, 성적)이 직무만족에 미치는 영향에서 직무스트레스의 매개효과가 검증되었다. 본 연구결과로부터 세 가지 측면 즉, ‘제도적 측면’과 ‘시설운영 측면’, ‘개인적 측면’에서 '정책대안을 제시하였다.
