This study asked lecturers of liberal arts classes at college to identify problems generating from operating a class and solutions using content analysis. This study suggests effective approach to operating a class through linking the finding results with sociocultural characteristics of students while previous research discusses only problems of lecture content or educational contents at liberal arts classes. The result shows that the problems lecturers of liberal arts reported were categorized into education administration system and operating their class, and the solutions were drawn from those categories. This exploratory study is expected to help lecturers at liberal arts classes continue to work toward high-quality lecture.

본 연구는 대학 교양교육강좌 강의를 담당하고 있는 교수들을 대상으로 현재 강의 진행 및 운영과정에서 나타나는 문제점과 대처방안에 대한 내용을 직접 조사하여 이를 분석했다. 본 연구는 그간 꾸준히 연구가 진행되어 온 강의내용, 강의주제와 관련한 교육 콘텐츠상에 나타나는 교양교육강좌의 문제점에 대해서 논의하는 분석층위를 넘어서 연구분석 결과를 현대의 사회문화적 특징과 이 시대 대학생들의 특성을 연계하여, 더욱 폭넓고 효과적인 교양교과목의 강의전달 방법을 도출하고자 시도되었다. 분석결과, 교양교육강좌 강의 시 교수들이 겪는 어려운 점은 크게 행정시스템적 부분과 강좌진행과정에서의 강의법과 관련한 두 부분으로 범주화할 수 있었으며, 해결방안 역시 그 범주구분에 따라 분석 가능했다. 본 탐색적 연구를 근거로 추후 효과적인 교양강좌 강의구현을 위한 교육자들의 지속적인 노력이 이루어질 수 있을 것이다.
