This research aims to establish the effects of the team cohesiveness of the players on the team effectiveness according to the handball coaches’ leadership types. To achieve this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 420 handball players and the data were collected using the questionnaires of leadership, team cohesiveness, and team effectiveness, and were analyzed through applying the statistical program, and the following conclusion was obtained. First, the handball coaches’ transformational leadership had positive effects on the team cohesiveness. Second, the handball coaches’ transactional leadership had positive effects on the team cohesiveness. Third, the handball coaches’ servant leadership had positive effects on the team cohesiveness. Fourth, the handball players’ team cohesiveness had positive effects on the team effectiveness. Fifth, in the effects of the handball coaches’ leadership on the team effectiveness, the team cohesiveness had indirect effects. In other words, the conclusion that the servant leadership in the handball coaches’ leadership types had a relatively greater influence on the team cohesiveness through the team effectiveness was obtained, so the final conclusion that the handball coaches’ morality, fairness, and trust in coaching activities are important was obtained.
