The Mediated Effects of Anxiety and Indecisiveness between Perfectionism and Career Decision Level Among Korea High School Students

The main purpose of the study was to examine the relation between high school students perfectionism and career decision level. In addition, this study examined the mediating effect of anxiety and indecisiveness between perfectionism and career decision level. Data were collected from three-hundred ninety-nine high school students in Gyeonggi Province and Incheon metropolitan city. They completed Multidimention Perfectionism Scale(MPS), Career Decision Scale(CDS), and State- Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI), Frost's Indecisiveness Scale(FIS). The materials collected were processed by SPSS WIN 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results shows as follows: First, there was a significant positive correlation among perfectionism, anxiety, and indecisiveness. And there was significant negative correlation among perfectionism and anxiety, indecisiveness and career decision level. Secondly, anxiety, indecisiveness double mediated the link between perfectionism and career decision level. Finally, limitations of the present study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
