The purpose of this study is to establish the legal status of the professional Baduk players in Korea by examining the articles and by the regulations of Korea Baduk Association. Specifically the conditions of obtaining and losing the status of Korean professional Baduk player and the nature of the rights, responsibilities, and disciplinary punishments are analyzed. Furthermore, the legal status of Korean professional player is considered in the context of exclusive contract and the labourer status in the National Labor Relations Act.

본 연구의 목적은 한국기원의 정관 및 내규를 통해 한국 프로기사의 법적 지위를 정립하는 데 있다. 구체적으로는 한국 프로기사의 지위취득과 상실의 요건, 권리·의무·징계의 성질을 분 석하고, 전속계약과 노동관계법상의 근로자 지위 논의를 통해 한국 프로기사의 법적 지위를 고 찰하였다.
