The purpose of this study was to analyze the relations among young children’s self-concept, self-regulation and cellular phone addition degree. The subjects were 228 children in G city. In collecting the data, the ‘SCI Self-concept Scale’ was used to assess children’s self-concept while the ‘Self-regulation Scale’ was used to assess children’s Self-regulation, and the ‘Korean Cellular Phone addition Scale’ for Young Children was used to assess children’s cellular Phone addition degree. Pearson r was used to analyzed the relations among young children’s self-esteem, self-regulation and cellular Phone addition degree. The results of this study reveal that cellular Phone addition degree is negatively related to young children’s self-concept and self-regulation.

본 연구는 유아의 자아개념 및 자기조절능력과 휴대폰중독 정도 간의 관계를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 G시 에 위치한 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 228명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 이경화, 고진영(2006)이 제작한 유아의 ‘자아개념척도’, 이정란(2003)의 ‘자기조절능력 척도’, 이진영(2006)이 개발한 ‘한국형 휴대폰 중독 척도’를 수정, 보완하여 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 상관분석을 실시하여 Pearson 적률상관 계수를 산출하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아의 자아개념은 휴대폰 중독과 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 자아개념의 하위영역인 ‘친구 관계자아’, ‘일반자아’와 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기조절능력은 휴대폰 중독과 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 자기조절능력의 하위영역인 ‘자기평가’, ‘정서성’과 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
