This study analyzed relationship between learning motivation and education satisfaction for students admitted to university based on a specialized screening process for persons employed full time who have graduated from specialized high schools. A survey was conducted at two universities located in Seoul with a total sample size of 125. Key survey questions covered the motivation for learning and education satisfaction. The results of our study were as follows. First, learning motivation was highest for study oriented motivation followed by activity oriented and finally goal oriented. Second, education satisfaction was highest for activity oriented motivation followed by study oriented and finally goal oriented. Third,.based on regression analysis of education satisfaction and learning motivation, only study oriented motivation had a meaningful impact. We expect this study to be useful in the development and operation of education programs for students admitted to universities through the specialized process for full time employees graduated from specialized highs schools.

본 연구는 특성화고졸 재직자 특별전형을 통해 대학에 진학한 학생들의 사회 인구학적 특성에 따른 학습동기와 교육만족도 에 관하여 분석한다. 연구방법은 서울 시내 소재 2개 대학의 재학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고, 최종 표본은 총 125개이 다. 주요 설문 내용은 학습자의 사회 인구학적 특성(성별, 연령, 전공, 학년, 급여수준)과 함께, 선행연구를 참고하여 학습참 여 동기 및 교육만족도를 측정하기 위한 항목들로 구성하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특성화고졸 재직자 특별전형 학습자들은 학습지향적 동기, 목표지향적 동기, 활동지향적 동기 순으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 교육만족도는 3.582로 보통보다 높게 나타났다. 그 중에서 교수만족도, 학생들 간의 만족도, 교육내용, 교육성과, 교육 과정 순으로 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 교육만족도와 교육 학습동기의 회귀분석 결과 학습지향적 동기만 교육만족도에 유의한 영향이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 특성화고졸 재직자 전형 학습자의 학습동기를 향상시킬 수 있는 활동, 즉 학습 목표 를 지향하는 다양한 프로그램과 참여성과에 대한 만족을 누릴 수 있는 구체적인 방안 등이 교과과정에 포함되어야 할 것으 로 판단된다. 본 연구의 결과는 초기단계에 있는 특성화고졸 재직자 특별전형을 활성화하기 위한 교육과정 수립이나 운영 등에 유용할 것 으로 기대된다.
