This study empirically analysed influential factors on adolescents' addition to smart-phones. Depending on the stress levels of adolescents, factors of addiction were decided to be variables based on bibliographical data and previous studies. Through an analysis of empirical data, this study tested the causal relationship that addiction factors had an impact on personal relationships, self-control, family trouble and a sense of alienation as well as the impact stress levels had in addiction to smart-phones. As a result, the influence level personal relationships of adolescents had on addiction to smart-phones was not significant, and their personal relationships had no impact on the addiction with regard to stress levels. Second, the self-control of the subjects had a significant impact on addiction to smart-phones, and there was no difference on the impact it had with the addiction depending on stress levels. Third, family troubles of the subjects had a significant impact on addiction to smart-phones, and there was a difference on the impact it had on the addiction depending on stress levels. Fourth, a sense of alienation in the subjects did not have a significant impact on addiction to smart-phones. There was no difference in the impact their sense of alienation had on addiction to smart-phones depending on stress levels. It is expected that the results of this study are basic data for the culture that adolescents use smart-phones in healthy ways and in prevention of addiction to them and this study has meaning in that it presented directions for prevention of addiction to smart-phones.
