This study analyzed the trend of domestic studies on golf, focusing on the Korean Journal of Golf Studies. Thisderived from the need to examine trend of studies for balanced development of the field. Ever since the first issueof the Korean Journal of Golf Studies Volume 1 published in 2007, 156 research papers were covered untilthe second issue of Volume 8 in 2014. All of these papers were investigated to increase validity and reliabilityof the study. A checklist for analysis was prepared to clarify the criteria of analysis, and four experts reached anagreement of their opinions based on discussion. As a result of detailed analysis, most of study topics were relatedto athletic performance, and most of them were conducted in the academic field of science. Although notall of these scientific studies used experimentation, the majority of them utilized statistical methods, clearly showingscientification of study methods. A large portion of golf studies attempted to use scientific research method,and there is a necessity to balance them with studies in the field of humanities, which can be regarded as a basicfield of study, for further development of golf and golf studies.

이 연구는 국내 골프관련 연구동향을 분석한 것으로써 한국골프학회지를 중심으로 수행하였다. 이는 학문의 균형있는 발전을 위해 연구물의 동향 파악이 필요하다는 것에서 기인하였다. 한국골프학회지가 간행되기 시작한 2007년의 제1권 제1호부터 시작하여 지금까지 나온 2014년의 제8권 제2호의 156편의 논문을 전수조사하여 타당도와신뢰도를 높이는 데 주력하였다. 논문을 분석함에 있어서 그 기준을 명확하게 제시하기 위해 분석물에 대한 체크리스트를 작성하여 진행하였으며, 4명의 전문가가 토론을 통하여 의견을 일치시켰다. 구체적인 분석 결과, 주로경기력과 관련된 연구주제가 많았으며, 대부분 과학과 관련된 학문분야에서 수행된 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 과학이라고 하여 오로지 실험연구만 수행된 것은 아니었지만, 통계를 활용한 연구들이 주를 이루고 있어서 연구방법의 과학화가 명확하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 전체적으로 골프학문에 있어서 과학연구와 과학적 연구방법으로시도된 연구들이 많은 비중을 차지하고 있음을 알 수 있었는데, 골프 및 골프학문의 발전을 위해서는 기초학문이라 할 수 있는 인문분야 연구와 균형을 맞출 필요성이 제기된다.
