This study is to analyze the research trends of papers on art therapy targeting the youth in middle and high school for the subject, published in the academic journal 10 pieces and 18 pieces domestic dissertation thesis from 2003 until the end of April, 2014. The significance of this study is to grope development direction of the papers on art therapy for Youth applying integrated techniques, to present subsequent studies, and to provide basic data that help balanced development. The framework of the data The framework was composed of the basis of previous research and analysis and frequency analysis was performed by SPSS 12.0. In this study, the following criteria were evaluated. First, the term of art therapy used in research. second, the number of research papers by year and the major of researchers. third, age, gender, type of problem of subjects, and the number of experimental group. forth, the number and type of a single treatment applied to the study in the study contents and the dependent variables of adolescent characteristics. fifth, the type of research methods, study design, treatment time per session, period, and the number of program. Based on the results of the above study, the direction of future research, suggestions for future research and limitations and significance of the study are presented.

본 연구는 2003년부터 2014년 4월 말까지 국내에서 발표된 학술지 10편 및 학위논문 18편을 대상으로 하여 중․고 청소년 대상 예술치료 연구 총 28편의 동향을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 청소년을 대상으로 한 통합적 기법을 적용한 예술치료 연구의 발전 방향을 모색하고, 향후 후속연구 제시와 균형 있는 발전을 위해 도움이 되는 기초자료를 마련하는데 의의가 있다. 동향분석 선행연구와 분석 자료를 토대로 분석틀을 구성하였으며, SPSS 12.0으로 빈도분석 하였다. 첫째, 연구에 사용한 예술치료 용어, 둘째, 연도별 논문 발표 편수 및 연도별 연구자 전공, 셋째, 연구대상에서 연령, 성별, 문제유형, 실험집단원 수, 넷째, 연구내용에서 연구에 적용한 단일 치료기법 수 및 종류, 청소년기 특성 종속변인, 다섯째, 연구방법에서 연구유형, 연구설계, 회기별 치료시간, 주기, 프로그램 회수 동향을 분석하였다. 이에 관한 결과를 토대로 이 분야의 연구 발전을 위해 향후 한국에서 예술심리치료 용어 정리, 이 분야의 청소년 대상 연구의 양적 확대, 그리고 연구방법 및 다양한 대상의 연구 확대 필요성을 제언하였다. 끝으로 연구의 한계와 의의를 밝혔다.
