In this research, six multicultural children's stories which were published after 2000 and reveal conflict factors that migrants' children, mainly the children of illegal immigrant workers, are experiencing in Korea were selected and analyzed. For a method of analysis, properties were understood by interpreting and categorizing the problems of these children through Content Analysis which is a qualitative research method. The children appearing in these stories live a painful life, being discriminated and despised, since their parents' identity of illegal immigrant regulated by Korean society is applied to them as well and their parents' pitiable life is juxtaposed with that of the children. As a result of analysis on these stories, the children's conflict factors in life in Korea were friendship, different appearance, poor environment, poor Korean, passive attitude, social prejudice and legal right of their parents to stay in Korea.

본 연구는 2000년대 이후에 출간된 한국 다문화동화 중, 불법체류 이주노동자 자녀를 중심으로 한국 생활에서 이주자녀가 겪고 있는 갈등 요인이 드러난 작품 6편을 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석방법으로는 질적 연구방법인 내용분석(Content Analysis)을 통해, 이주자녀 문제를 해석하고 범주화하는 과정을 통해 그 속성을 파악하였다. 다문화동화 속의 이주자녀는 한국 사회에서 규정한 부모의 불법체류자 신분이 그대로 전이되어, 차별과 멸시를 받으며 고통 속에 살아가고 있었으며, 이러한 현상은 부모가 처한 비참한 현실이 바로 그들 자녀에게로 병치되고 있다는 것을 나타내고 있었다. 대상작품의 분석결과, 이주자녀들의 한국 생활 갈등 요인으로는 한국 친구관계, 서로 다른 외모, 어려운 가정환경, 서툰 언어, 소극적인 반응, 사회적 편견, 부모의 체류 자격으로 분류되었다.
