The purpose of this research is to work out the environmental adaptation and experience process of elite sport coaches who are in coaching activities overseas by the ethnographic method and to interpret the meaning of their overseas coaching activities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the coaches who were in coaching activities overseas and the domain analysis and taxonomic analysis were conducted on the information that was provided. The conclusion obtained from this study is as follows. First, coaching activities in new worlds are expressed as social meanings. In other words, they were expressed to be composed of meanings of overseas coaching activities as symbols of success, the formation of social relationships, and family composition mechanism. Second, they were expressed as the mechanisms of culture adaptation and culture transformation in which they live as foreigners. In other words, they were expressed as the mechanisms of culture acceptance and culture transformation, the confirmation and reconstitution of ethnic identity. Third, they were expressed as isolated environment as limitations of communications and conflicts. In other words, they were expressed as limitations of language, the way of no return, and refuge. Fourth, they were expressed as meanings of overseas coaching activities as another pioneer, action first and language later, adventurous life, and rewards of cultivating.
