This study analyzed which influence the behavioral characteristics in youth leaders' leadership type had upon adolescents' satisfaction and effect of training activity. In other words, the main aim is to closely examine important implications in developing and promoting youth leaders' leadership. To achieve this research objective, it targeted 300 youth leaders at 300 training facilities by type in 16 regions in cities and provinces nationwide and 3,000 adolescents who entered the training facilities, to which leaders belong, for training activity. The sample group was selected. Analysis was carried out through questionnaire research. Given summarizing the results that were obtained through this study, those are as follows. The individual characteristics in youth leaders and adolescents and the youth leaders' leadership types had partial influence upon satisfaction and effect with training activity. Especially in case of servant leadership among leadership types in youth leaders, it was indicated to have the significantly positive influence upon satisfaction at training activity. As this is the newer paradigm than the transformational and transactional leadership, the application of technique in servant leadership can be said to be requested in light of period. In the meantime, adolescents' satisfaction with training activity had direct influence upon the training-activity effect. This can be seen that the more satisfied at constituent elements of a training-activity program leads to the much higher goal achievement and educational performance, which are effects of training activity.

이 연구는 청소년 지도자의 리더십유형의 행동특성이 청소년 체험학습의 효과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 즉 청소년 지도자의 리더십 개발과 함양에 중요한 시사점을 구명하는 데 주된 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 전국의 권역별 16개 시·도 지역의 유형별 수련시설 300개 기관의 청소년 지도자 300명과 지도자가 속한 수련시설에 수련활동을 위해 입소한 청소년 3,000명을 대상으로 표본 집단을 선정하여 질문지 조사법을 통해 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 청소년 지도자와 청소년의 개인적 특성 및 청소년 지도자의 리더십유형이 수련활동의 만족도와 효과에 부분적으로 영향이 미쳤다. 특히 청소년 지도자의 리더십 유형 중 서번트 리더십의 경우 수련활동의 만족도에 유의한 정적 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 변혁적·거래적 리더십보다 새로운 패러다임의 서번트 리더십 기술 적용이 시대적으로 요구된다. 한편 청소년들의 수련활동의 만족도가 수련활동의 효과에 직접적으로 영향이 미쳤다. 이는 체험학습 프로그램의 구성요소에 대해 만족할수록 수련활동의 효과인 목표성취와 교육성과가 매우 높다는 것을 알 수 있다.
