We studied the factors affecting on the connected tourist development for vitalizing the regional economy, and the study results are as follows. First, There is the need for a legal organization to develop and support travel packages of western part for Kyeongnam. And also, there are the needs for specialized strategies suited for each city of western part for kyeongnam to attract tourists. Second, the factors of the tourism connection system for the connected tourist development are that there is a need to build the tourism connection system to create a tourism promotion and diversify tourism promotion media. we need to develop unique goods and souvenirs that the characteristics of each city are shown. And we need to sell traditional food, wine and silk as our unique culture and traditional things with the nature tour or sports tour to the tourists. Third, there is a need to build a private institute that funds voluntary private sector financial resources, inducing the corporate private investment. There is a need for private sectors to take part in for ensuring financial resources and the support of the government's finance, funds by third-party sector.

본고는 진주시를 비롯한 산청군, 하동군의 지역경제를 활성화하고 지역 간 균형발전을 도모할 수 있는 연계관광개발을 위한 영향요인 분석을 통해 연계관광개발에 대한 전략을 모색하는데 있다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 연계관광개발을 위한 전략은 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 연계관광개발을 위한 관광제도 요인으로는 연계관광개발 업무를 위한 일관성 있는 업무추진 기구의 도입이 필요하고, 연계도시별 관광특성화 전략, 환경보존과 연계도시 특유의 문화·관광·역사에 중점을 둔 개발 정책이 필요하다. 둘째, 연계관광개발을 위한 관광시스템 요인으로는 관광 홍보물을 제작할 필요가 있으며, 관광홍보 매체도 다양화, 활성화 할 필요가 있다. 또한 대규모 숙박시설, 지역특화 숙박시설(오토캠핑장, 텐트촌 등), 지역 특성을 살린 레저·스포츠 시설(골프 장, 수렵장, 활공장 등)의 확충이 필요하다. 셋째, 연계관광개발을 위한 관광재원 요인으로는 자발적 민간재원 마련을 위한 제도적 유인 마련과 출향인사 등의 연고기업 투자유치가 필요하다. 그리고 관광개발 재원확보를 위한 민간참여 확대와 정부의 재정적 지원이 필요하다.
