The maritime police officers are in unique occupational environment, so they got high stress level and depression. In this study, to explain the effects of maritime police officers’ level of perception about job risk on depression focused on mediation effects of stress vulnerability. To analysis mediation effect ‘Korea Coast Guard Welfare Research and Mid-Long Term Welfare Strategy Making’ research data was used. The result of analysis showed that the significant factors related to the depression were socioeconomic status, hiring route, regional coast guard department, job type and job risk. Also, mediation effect of stress vulnerability between perception about job risk and depression was proved.

해양경찰은 해양과 함정이라는 특수한 근무환경에 처해 있기 때문에 직무위험성 이 높고 그로인한 스트레스와 우울감이 크다. 이 연구에서는 해양경찰의 직무위험성 으로 인한 우울감을 설명하기 위하여 스트레스 취약성의 조절효과를 중심으로 살펴 보았다. 분석을 위해 ‘해양경찰 복지실태 조사 및 중·장기 복지전략 수립’ 연구에 활 용된 데이터를 활용하였으며, 조절효과를 확인하기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 사용 하였다. 분석결과 인구사회학적 특성 및 직무적 특성 중 입직경로, 소속지방청, 근무 형태 등이 우울감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 직무위험성 인지수준이 높을 수록 우울감도 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 직무위험성 인지수준과 우울감의 관계 에서 스트레스 취약성의 조절효과가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다.
