The modern society has been rapidly changing in the whole fields including society, culture and art by the expanding globalization and advanced science and technology. In accordance with the general change of social phenomenon, the consumers tend to pursue the individual characteristics and the images of independent tastes beyond the standard public culture and the new design has been created to get better satisfaction. Personality and the value of rarity in fashion industry have been gradually emphasized and the emotional, health-oriented and eco-friendly products have bee more requested. The fashion industry has been continuously investigating the high functional fabrics with highly added value by combining diversity and uniqueness of new materials and transforming or reapplying fabrics without being restricted to the development of designs and simple materials. For the natural dyeing using natural materials, the dyed goods can make natural colors and create soft and profound tones. Furthermore, the dyes used for natural dyeing have the antibacterial, deodorizing, insect-repellent, anti-allergic, soothing and aromatic ingredients. This paper proposes the creative design approach using the color difference as well as expressing texture, visual depth and figurative stability by Degumming through natural dyeing and features of silk, the natural material, which has been used as the material for eco-design which has been gradually highlighted in the 21st century. The dyeing experiment results before and after Degumming in natural dyeing are presented below. The new design can be developed using the emotional difference by Degumming. New materials can be developed using reduction ratio by Degumming. Accordingly, the design can be developed using the dyeing difference before and after Degumming, in addition the functional and eco-friendly materials can be design developed using a variety of colors based on the diversity of natural dyeing.

현대는 고도의 발달된 과학기술과 세계화의 확산에 의해 사회, 과학, 문화, 예술 등 전반에 걸쳐 빠른 속 도로 변화하고 있다. 이러한 사회 현상의 전반적인 변동에 따라 소비자들은 획일적인 대중문화에서 벗 어나 개인의 특성과 독립적인 취향의 이미지를 추구하게 되며, 더 나은 만족감을 얻기 위해 새로운 디자 인을 창조하게 되었다. 패션산업에 있어서 개성과 희소성의 가치를 점점 더 강조하게 되었으며 인간의 감성․건강 지향적․자연 친화적 제품을 필요로 하게 되었다. 단순한 소재와 디자인의 개발에서 탈피하여, 신소재의 다양성과 독창성을 결합, 섬유 소재를 변형시키거나 재응용을 통해 고부가가치의 고기능성 섬 유소재를 만들어 활용한 디자인을 계속해서 연구하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 천연소재를 통한 천연염료는 염색 제품이 매우 자연스러운 색상을 나타낼 수 있고 부드 럽고 깊이 있는 색조 분위기를 표현할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이 뿐만 아니라 천연염료로 이용되 는 염색재는 항균, 소취, 방충, 항알레르기, 진정, 방향(芳香) 등의 성분을 가지고 있어 각광받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 21세기에 더욱더 부각되고 있는 에코디자인의 재료로 활용되고 있는 천연염색과 천연소 재인 견의 특성을 살려 정련 전․후의 감성과 감량률, 강연도 실험을 통해 소재의 조직감, 입체감, 형태안 정성 등을 표현하였다. 다섬교직포의 염색에 따른 색상 차이를 실험하고 정련 전․후의 염색을 통한 색차 를 파악하였다. 견의 정련 전․후의 실험 결과를 살펴보면 감량과 강연도 실험을 통해 감성변화에서는 촉감이 부드러워졌 고 세리신이 제거되면서 드레이프성에 의한 유연성과 광택이 증가하였다. 정련 전․후의 염색차를 보면 육안판별로도 충분히 색차를 알 수 있었고, 정련 전이 더 진한 색조(deep tone)를 띠고 있음을 알 수 있 다. 따라서 견의 정련 전․후의 실험을 통해 조직감, 입체감, 형태안정성 및 드레이프성을 표현할 수 있고, 정 련 전․후의 염색기법과 색차를 기초로 다양한 문양을 추출 할 수 있을 것으로 본다.
