In the background of critical responses on the pathological phenomena in thespheres of Korean society and schooling, many Christian schools, a new model ofalternative school, seeking for both a good, humane schooling for students and afaithful schooling to the Christian world view, have been brought forth since the1990s. Teacher’s mission groups, Christian world view movement, Christian SchoolEducation Research Center, Christian teachers and educationists have contributed tothe settlement of Christian schools for the past twenty years. However, manyChristian schools are in experimental level enduring insufficient financial supportand poor educational facilities. The important future tasks of Christian schools are as follows: (1) the completeacquisition of freedom and the legitimacy for Christian schooling are prerequisite. Sociological and political studies on Christian schools, cooperative movement ofChristian schools associations, positive support of Christian churches, and organiccooperation between mission schools and Christian schools can be effective waysto get the legal position and the support of the government. (2) A teachers’ graduate school for Christian schools has to be established for identity settlementand educational excellency of Christian schooling by means of both re-educationof teachers and research on Christian schooling.

한국 사회와 교육의 병리현상에 대한 깊은 실망에서 1990년대 후반 이후 기독교세계관에 기 초한 참교육을 열망하는 새로운 유형의 기독교학교가 설립되어 기독교대안학교의 한 모델 이 되었다. 지난 20여 년 동안 교사선교단체, 기독교세계관 운동, 기독교학교교육연구소, 기 독교인 교육학자들과 기독교교육학자이 기독교학교의 확립에 기여한 바크다. 그럼에도 불 구하고 기독교학교는 여전히 대안적 실험학교 수준이며, 특히 재정에서 영세성을 감내할 수 밖에 없는 학교들이 대부분이다. 기독교학교의 미래과제를 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기독교학교교육을 위한 자유와 기독교학교교 육의 합법성의 온전한 획득이 필요하며, 이를 위해 기독교학교를 위한 교육사회학적(정치학 적) 연구, 기독교교육기관 연합운동, 범 기독교계의 지원활동이 더 활발하게일어나야 한다. 둘째, 기독교학교의 확립을 위해 기독교공동체의 각성과 협력이 이루어져야 하고, 기존의 기독교사립학교와의 유기적인 협력이 필요하다. 셋째, 기독교학교교육의 정체성과 수월성 을 도모하기 위해, 그리고 기독교학교교사들을 교육하고 기독교학교교육의 실천을 연구하 는 교육대학원대학교의 설립이 필요하다.
