The purpose of this study was to figure out the characteristic of leisure flow of golf participants by qualitativeapproach for activating golf to public leisure. For this purpose, the selected by six golf participants who are haveparticipated in golf consistently as study participants and the date was collected through two in-depth interviews. The collected data was analyzed by categorizing of comparing and contrasting field notes and code data aftercoding based on original data. The finding of the study can be summarized as follows: First, study participantstook part in golf for recovering personal relations, well-bing and as well, they fulfilled interpersonal relationshipsand well-bing also rose through change in mental and physical health. Second, what study golf participants experienceleisure flow means being life-satisfaction and helping the restoration of family relations. The results havebeen categorized the following they felt the positive effect of golf and it would be an opportunity to be immersedin it consistently. Furthermore, golf participants experienced when fun and enjoyment the best flowexperience.

본 연구의 목적은 개인경험의 본성과 본질을 해석함으로써 연구 참여자의 내면적 동기와 체험과정을 보다 심도있게 이해할 수 있는 질적 분석을 통해 골프 참여자의 여가몰입 형성과정에 대한 의미를 이해하고 해석하려는것이다. 이러한 연구목적에 근거해서 골프참여자 6명을 대상으로 심층면담을 통한 질적 연구방법을 실시한 결과다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 골프의 참여 동기는 ‘원만한 대인관계’와 ‘웰빙’으로 도출되었다. 하위요인으로는 원만한 대인관계는 ‘업무의 연장선’, ‘여가선용’으로 범주화되었고, 웰빙은 ‘건강한 삶 추구’와‘힐링 효과’로 범주가 파악되었다. 둘째, 골프 여가몰입 경험의 요인 분석은 ‘행복감’, ‘열정적인 삶’,‘최상의 몰입’으로 도출되었다. 각각의 하위요인을 살펴보면 행복감은 ‘만족스러운 삶’, ‘즐거운 대인관계’, ‘가족관계 회복’으로 범주화 되었고, 열정적인 삶은 ‘도전정신’, ‘실력향상을 위한 노력’으로 범주화되었다. 그리고 최상의 몰입은 ‘새로운 경험’, ‘즐거움’으로 범주화되었다.
