The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of psychological skills and physical fitness on amateur golfers’ performance. Pilot study was to executed 15 amateur golfers. They were responded on questionnaire. Reliability and validity of the questionnaire were carried. In order to achieve this research purpose, 219 amateur golfers responded on questionnaires. The data were analyzed with exploratory factor analysis, internal validity test, one-way MANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this research were as follows; First, psychological skills and physical fitness level by career did not show significant differences, and golf performance level were excellent as career increases. Second, psychological skills and physical fitness did not show significant difference by amount of practice and golf performance level was proportional to practice time. Finally, psychological skills influenced golf performance and physical fitness influenced only drive distance among five golf performance factors.

본 연구의 목적은 아마추어 골퍼들의 심리기술과 체력수준이 경기력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 골프에 참가하는 아마추어들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 작성된 설문지를 아마추어 골퍼 15명을 대상으로 예비조사를 실시하였으며 설문지의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증한 후 본 조사를 수행 하였다. 총 219명의 자료가 분석에 활용되었으며, 탐색적 요인분석(exploratory factor analysis; EFA)과 일원다변량 분산분석(one-way MANOVA), 다중회귀분석(multiple regression analysis)을 실시하였다. 이와 같은 연구과정을 거쳐 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 경력에 따른 심리기술과 체력수준은 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 하위 요인 중 일부요인만 차이를 보였다. 경기력 수준은 경력이 증가할수록 높아졌다. 둘째, 연습량에 따른 심리기술과 체력수준은 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 경기력 수준은 연습시간이 많을수록 증가하였다. 넷째, 심리기술은 경기력에 영향을 미치고, 체력은 골프경기력 5가지 요인 중 비거리 요인에만 영향을 미친다.
