The purpose of this study is to examine demographic factors and psychosocial factors as variables that might influence the religiosity(organizational, private, and subjective religiosity) of the elderly living in and around Seoul and to identify any interactions these variables might have. Data were collected from 319 older people over 60 using Gyungrodangs, churches, and senior welfare centers. The results we re as following: 1) The average points from a 8-point-scale for the organizational and private religiosity were 4.21(SD=3.05) and 4.56(SD=3.13) and the average point from a 4-point-scale for the subjective religiosity was 2.83(SD=.98). 2) The results of Hierarchical regression analysis showed that participants’depression, sex, social support, and educational background have a significant effect on the organizational religiosity, participants’ depression, educational background, sex, social support, and living standard have a significant effect on the private religiosity, and participants’ depression, sex, educational background, social support, and living standard have a significant effect on the subjective religiosity. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations are discussed.

본 연구는 인구사회학적 변인과 심리사회적 변인이 노인의 조직적･사적･주 관적 종교성에 미치는 영향력을 분석하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 수도권 지역의 경로당, 교회, 노인종합복지관 및 종합사회복 지관 등을 이용하고 있는 재가노인 319명이다. 연구결과, 노인의 조직적 종교성과 사적 종교성의 평균값은 8점 만점에 4.21(SD=3.05)과 4.56(SD=3.13)으로 나타났고 주관적 종교성은 4점 만점에 2.83(SD=.98)으로 나타났다. 위계적 다중회귀분석결과, 노인의 조직적 종교성 에 미치는 요인들의 영향력은 우울, 성별, 사회적지지, 교육수준 순으로 나타났 고, 사적 종교성은 우울, 교육수준, 성별, 사회적지지, 생활수준 순으로 밝혀졌 으며, 주관적 종교성은 우울, 성별, 교육수준, 사회적지지, 생활수준 순으로 분 석되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 노인의 종교성 영향요인에 따른 종교성 향상 을 위한 제언과 제한점을 제시하였다.
