The purpose of this study is to verify comprehensively subjective self-esteem and socioeconomic variables as main factors for affecting the level of retirement acceptance among the protestant pastors. The reason to explore this subject is validating conscious attempt how the pastors can accept their retirement positively if there is lack of socioeconomic factors although the pastors are very much focused on their subjective self-esteem. Needed data have been collected for six months and analysed them through the structural equation. The result of the data analysis showed that lower of pastors' self-esteem is more affected to the acceptability of retirement in negative as it has been studied. Higher of need in socioeconomic factor such as housing, health, finance, and social activity is more affected to the acceptability of retirement in negative. And subjective self-esteem is mediated by the socioeconomic factor to the level of retirement acceptance.

본 연구는 개신교 목회자들의 은퇴를 수용하는 데 영향을 미치는 요인으로써 주관적 자아만족과 사회경제적 요인을 통합적으로 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 이 러한 검증을 시도한 것은 소명의식이라는 주관적 만족감이 삶의 질의 주 관심 사인 목회자들일지라도 사회경제적 요인을 배제한 상태에서 당사자들이 은퇴 를 긍정적으로 받아들일지에 대한 의문을 갖기 때문이다. 연구를 위해 6개월간 설문조사로 수집한 데이터를 기술통계와 구조방정식 으로 검증하였다. 결과는 목회자들의 자아존중감이 낮을수록 은퇴 수용성에 부 적인 영향이 나타났다. 주거, 건강, 경제, 사회활동 같은 사회경제적 요인의 욕 구가 높을수록 은퇴수용성에 부적인 영향이 나타났다. 그리고 사회경제적 요인 은 목회자들의 주관적인 자아존중감이 은퇴를 수용하는 정도에 영향을 주도록 매개하는 것으로 나타났다.
