This study aims to analyze honorific expressions in the which is a literature of the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty and to apply to Korean language education with it. This work of art has been investigated in a connection political background, literary merit and a fair author etc. in depth. Its research range has been discussed extensively as well. We know that good study about this work has been done enough so far. However, we also see that educational study about this work is rare. We chose text because this work has meaning of study in various aspects and accessed to it from the perspective of Korean education. For this, we examined characteristic of the works extralinguistically, analyzed honorific expressions linguistically and suggested materials & learning activities with Korean curriculum educationally. The summary of this research is as follows. We commented that this work's text composition is discussed variously depending on researchers' point of view and gave examples some expressions which involve political and social context. Also, we analyzed honorific expressions with concrete discourse in text. Then, we explained educational meaning of this text related to a function of language use and a value of material and suggested contents and activities of learning and teaching to apply onto class.

본 연구는 조선 후기의 궁정 문학인 <한중록>을 대상으로 경어 표현에 대하여 살펴보고 이를 국어교육적으로 적용하고자 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. <한중록>은 작품이 가진 정치사회적 배경, 문학사적 가치, 작자의 문제 등 다양한 측면에서 연구되어 왔고 연 구의 범위 또한 광범위하게 이루어졌다. 즉, 작자와 시대적 상황, 작품 자체가 가진 문학사적 의의 등 작품 내 적·외적으로 의미 있는 연구가 심도 깊게 이루어졌다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 국어교육 관점에서 구체적으로 적 용한 연구는 쉽게 찾아보기가 어렵다. 이에 본고는 <한중록>과 같이 다양한 측면에서 연구의 의의가 있는 작 품을 대상으로 국어교육적 시각에서 접근하였다. 이를 위해 우선 이 작품이 보이고 있는 언어 외적 특성을 고 찰하고, 언어적 측면으로 경어 표현을 분석하였으며 교육적 측면으로 교육과정과 관련하여 자료 및 활동을 제 안하고 구상하였다. 연구 결과를 구체적으로 정리하면, 언어 외적 특성으로는 작품의 구성에 대한 다양한 관점이 존재함을 지적하 고, 작품의 성격상 사회적 맥락에서 다룰 수 있는 정치적 상황 및 궁정 분위기 등과 관련하여 작품의 구체적 장면과 함께 이를 알아보았다. 그리고 작품의 언어적 특성으로 볼 수 있는 경어 표현에 대한 분석에서는, 경어 호칭과 종결 어미를 역시 구체적 장면 속에서 함께 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 국어교육적 접근에서는 언어 사용 의 기능과 교재 및 활용 자료로서의 가치를 교육과정을 통해 점검하고, 실제 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 구체 적인 학습 내용 및 활동의 예시를 제안하였다.
